PC Guilds and Organizations:

PC Guild and Organization List:

**Please Note: The information listed below is not to be considered IC knowledge, especially in the case of the more secretive guilds.**

Armsmasters Guild:

Current Leader: Earnest Maynair (TastyJayk)

Armsmaster's Guild: To the advancement and civilization of Fighters through a rigorous regime of teaching/studying and performing duties.

Enclave of Arcane Light:

Current Leader: Administrators/NP

The Enclave of Arcane Light is an order of arcane magic dedicated to the goddess of Rhima. Each school of magic has it's own head, and as such its own politics and structure beyond that. It is an organization of education and learning primarily, but has long stood as an ally against most of the darker forces of magic. Founded by the wizard Aristobulus and later led by the the wizard Fayeel, and Magister Chrio, the golden sorcerer, the Enclave has changed over the years to keep up with the times. The foundation of the guild is such that all of the heads of the schools work together towards the same ends. The nature of politics in the Enclave accounts for a large part of the business, and as such when serious magical offenses trouble the land the council meets to discuss it, with each head of school having a vote in the direction of the entire organization. Of late the relationship between the city of Arleah and the Enclave have become strained with the perceived tyrannical decision by Sir Doubourn, some even have suggested that the Enclave is considered leaving the city entirely over the death of one of the former teachers.

The Defenders of Arleah:

Current Leader: Ariston Nordskog(kosmo_kramer)

The Defenders are the guild associated with keeping the peace, enforcing the laws, and overall protection of the City of Arleah.

House Thenn

Current Leader: Members. (Fritzkringel/Hagiasophia/HalfangelM)

A supremely secretive group, they work together to advance and glorify their House, though few aside from themselves will ever know it. Members in the House have occupations ranging from crafts-work to combat, from spying to governing a city. Most of the foremost members of the House worship Selvardii and serve as her champions, but worship of another deity is by no means an obstacle to advancement. Ability and results determine one’s place.

All House members are bound with a powerful blood bond that ensures loyalty (This function is rarely necessary as to even enter into the House’s ranks tremendous devotion and strength of will must be demonstrated). The Lord or Lady of the House, acting as the unquestioned leader can access this bond to receive basic information as to the whereabouts, health, and doings of subordinates.

Just how far the House’s shadowy influence extends is open to debate. Do they rule where they infiltrate, do they dare to openly declare themselves? The current generation is wary: too many times has the House been scattered and driven near to extinction. New opportunities though mean they may soon have to choose between their safety and their ambition.

Dark Magic's Guild:

Current Leader: Hitetsu (Interim Leader: Chaszmyr)

Ambitious, prideful and driven, the Dark Magic's Guild is a secretive organization that seeks out aspiring spellcasters to make them an offer that would make the headmasters of mainstream magical institutions cast Greater Ruin in the seat of their pants: entirely unbiased magical instruction in their style of spellcasting with no schools, methods or spells forbidden. Those with power or the potential to be powerful tend to have great ambition, and the Guild fosters its members to use their power and realize their ambitions, so long as their goals do not interfere with the goals of other members. Spellcasters who are already learned and do not require any sort of teaching are just as welcome as those that require a great deal of instruction, or those that have reached the limits of learning permitted by their current tutor or school.

Being a member of the Guild means many things; it means that the resources of the Guild are available to you should you need instruction or assistance in seeing your ambitions come to fruition. It means that you have a home within the Guild, which comes with a sense that your new colleagues are more family than business associates only. It also means that you are expected to respect the principles of the Guild; its members are expected to uphold the basic principles of the Guild; assist your fellow guildmates in realizing their Guild-sanctioned ambitious plans and maintain secrecy for the Guild's continued unhindered operations.

While the Dark Magic's Guild sometimes operated openly long ago, over a hundred years of covert activity has left the knowledge of its continued existence to only a privileged (or paranoid) few.

OOC: Due to the nature of the Guild's recruitment style (the Guild finds you, not the other way around), please contact me (Hitetsu) if you are interested in the guild and I am sure we can set something up where Felicia takes an interest in you.

Requirements: Any evil alignment with possible exceptions for LN/TN/CN alignments. Must be able to cast spells (obviously), but that alone isn't enough; hybrid characters with only a few spells (assassin/ranger) don't count. Exceptions may be made on a case by case basis for characters that fall near the line; please let me know if you are not a traditional spellcaster and we can figure it out.

The Nightstalkers:

Current Leader: Alexander Hawkborn

The Nightstalkers are an elite band of assassins operating from somewhere within the walls of one of Cardathia's larger cities. Their fees are high, but the services are excellent. Each of the member operates under an assumed codename.

The Empire of Quan'dir:

Current Leader: Chaszmyr
Silent for several generations, the city of Quan'dir was rebuilt over a quarter of a century ago. Once ruled by demon worshipers and cruel individuals, the city now appears to be run by powerful mages who directed renovation efforts and put their talents to use as well in an effort to raise the city to glory. Over the years, it has grown into a sizable empire, encompassing roughly a sixth of the surface area of the continent of Cardathia. Patrols of Quan'dir Sentinels enforce Imperial law everywhere east of the eastern plains, south of the Alorian forest, stretching to the far southern edge of the desert of Kca.

The Quan'dir Sentinels are the strong right arm of the Empire, run by their own commander and officers. While the organization itself is not known for being cruel, Imperial law is; it is common knowledge to simply be submissive if you have not commit any crimes. Those that do have the choice of either dealing with the 'judge, jury and executioner' style judgment of the Sentinel who has accused you, or requesting the judgment of a higher authority, waiting in jail until such time as your case can be reviewed.

Though the citizens of the Empire come from extremely diverse environments and philosophical backgrounds, a strong sense of patriotism (and mild to moderate xenophobia as a result) is a common and recurring theme. The people are proud of their hard work in building a strong domain for their children to live and thrive in for generations to come. Children with magical talent are celebrated and encouraged, as magical ability affords a great deal more opportunity in the Empire than the average person has available to them.

House Despani:

Current Leader: Administrators/NPC
The premier House of the drow city of Cerlynosha, House Despani is not what one might expect of a drow house; due to the destruction of their old city, the drow are somewhat diminished from what they once were. As a race that believes itself to be superior, however, the drow are confident that their return to power will be a swift one. Rumors spreading amongst Cerlynoshans is that the powerful House has relaxed recruitment standards and that there are a great deal of opportunities for one to advance the ladder of power and influence, and that novice drow that show true talent or promise could end up being trained by the best the city has to offer.
